Money Lanham International Bank 2012 Money

Recently HSBC has been sending a so-called Security Device to its customers which generates a key in order to create a unique password. However the experts here at Lanham, including our founder Joseph Lanham Esq., feel that this is a waste of both time and money as the same result can be produced with the local computer obtaining the various necessary date and time combinations, without any extra cost being foisted on the bank's customers. Surely it would have been a far better idea to use this device for access to bank ATMs where present security is laughable, to say the least? Needless to say we will not be lumbering any of our customers with anything remotely similar.

This procedure, combined with the usual secure virtual keyboard for data entry, is almost uncrackable by hackers, as nobody else is likely to know your personal Private Key; and even if they did, your unique algorithm, together with a new key being required every 15 minutes (which could easily be changed to a lesser value, if desired) will hopefully defeat them.

In this example the user will have been allocated a unique 6 digit key by the bank (123456) and will also have agreed to a combination of values to be added or subtracted from that key (try the example on the Register page), which must be applied each time a logon attempt is made; in this case the calculation consisting of:

          User Private Key
        + Day of the Year x 2
        + Hour of the Day x 100
        + Hourly Quarter x 4
          ----------------
        = password

This needs to be worked out beforehand by using data from the display panel, or the calculator on the right and then manually adding this value to your private key (which would not normally be displayed here), typing it in the box, and then clicking the Logon button. Although the Quarter Hour will change every 15 minutes, the value shown will still apply if the quarter changes, for example 08.13 will indicate Quarter 1, but clicking Logon at 08.17 will still accept Quarter 1 if nothing else has changed, ie the Web Page has not been refreshed.

As this page makes extensive use of JavaScript, Internet Explorer may issue a prompt to this effect so just click Allow blocked content and then Yes. Now using the data displayed in the table, calculate your password, enter it in the box using either the virtual keyboard or the physical one, and then click the Logon button in order to access your Lanham account; and remember that the values shown will not have changed since you last logged on.
